Founder | CEO gtk
Andrew Martino is a seasoned hospitality professional with a rich background in restaurant management, concept development, and food technology. A New Jersey native, Andrew began his hospitality career while attending Syracuse University, working at a bar that sparked his passion for the industry. After graduating in 2007, he took on the role of General Manager at a restaurant and bar on Long Beach Island, NJ.
In the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy in 2012, Andrew relocated to San Diego, where he advanced through various positions, including bar manager, general manager, and director of operations for multiple restaurant groups. During this period, he played a pivotal role in launching several new concepts. In 2015, Andrew founded Martino Hospitality Services, focusing on concept creation, menu development, and operational analysis. That same year, he returned to New Jersey, settling in Jersey City where he still resides with his wife and two kids.
Inspired by the vibrant food truck scene on the West Coast, Andrew conceptualized Ghost Truck Kitchen (gtk) in 2017, aiming to revolutionize takeout and delivery by offering high-quality, scratch-made options. Since its launch in early 2019, GTK has expanded to multiple locations, including Jersey City and Hoboken, NJ, providing a diverse menu that caters to various dietary preferences.
Andrew’s innovative approach to the hybrid ghost kitchen model has positioned him as a thought leader in the evolving landscape of food service and technology. His commitment to enhancing the takeout and delivery experience continues to influence the industry, setting new standards for quality and creativity.
