Serve Robotics has expanded its sidewalk robotic delivery service to parts of Atlanta, including Midtown, Old Fourth Ward, and Downtown, now serving more than 50,000 residents.
The autonomous robots are integrated into the Uber Eats app, and customers can choose robotic delivery at checkout from participating restaurants such as Rreal Tacos, Ponko Chicken, and Shake Shack.
“As one of the largest and fastest-growing markets in the Southeast, Atlanta is a strategic next step for our planned nationwide expansion,” said Dr. Ali Kashani, CEO and co-founder of Serve Robotics.
Known as the “Silicon Peach,” Atlanta is a growing tech hub driven by innovation. It’s also a largely car-dependent city, a challenge Serve aims to tackle by making last-mile deliveries more efficient and environment friendly.
Damien Otero Reggiori, CEO of Rreal Tacos, said it is excited to be one of the first restaurants in Atlanta to offer the service.
“We’re all about bringing flavor and fun to the neighborhood,” said Reggiori. “Now with robotic delivery, the food you love can be at your door faster and fresher than ever.”
Steph So, chief growth officer at Shake Shack, said it was “a natural next step,” building on the company’s successful partnership with Serve and Uber Eats in Dallas, L.A., and Miami.
The Atlanta launch follows earlier rollouts in those same cities, where Serve has already logged tens of thousands of autonomous deliveries.
Momentum continues to build. In December, Serve raised an eye-popping $86 million, bringing its 2024 funding to $167 million.
The company aims to deploy 2,000 delivery bots across the U.S. by the end of 2025, with more market launches expected in the coming months.
