Shiv Adhiappan is the VP of Global Site Reliability & Engineering Operations at Yum Brands, where he spearheads technology innovation across the company’s iconic restaurant chains including Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut, and Habit Burger. During his five-year tenure, Shiv has led the successful rollout of the innovative Byte by Yum platform, scaling it to over 15,000 US restaurants. His leadership has been instrumental in deploying critical in-store technologies including kitchen display systems, labor inventory management, kiosks, and POS systems that have transformed operations across the Yum ecosystem.
With more than 20 years of experience in software development and enterprise architecture, Shiv brings deep technical expertise to his role leading Site Reliability Engineering. He holds a master’s degree in computer science and has been at the forefront of Yum’s strategic technology partnerships to leverage AI solutions in restaurant operations.
