Carl Orsbourn is a global retail executive, board member, and enterprise AI leader whose career spans blue-chip companies, high-growth technology ventures, and restaurant brands across the US, Europe, and the Middle East.
His experience includes senior leadership roles at BP-owned ampm, where he led the retail business to record performance of $1.3 billion in annual sales while scaling the network to more than 1,000 locations, as well as executive and co-founder roles at disruptive startups including Invisible Technologies, JUICER, and Kitchen United.
Carl currently leads the Enterprise Consumer division at Invisible Technologies, one of the world’s fastest-growing AI companies. He works with the largest retailers, restaurant groups, CPG brands, marketplaces, and hospitality operators to design and deploy AI capabilities that deliver measurable ROI, operational transformation, and human augmentation at scale.
As an operator and founder, Carl has led business development, partnerships, and operations across dynamic pricing, ghost kitchens, and digital transformation platforms, helping restaurant brands modernize decision-making, optimize performance, and adapt to rapidly evolving consumer expectations.
Carl is a recognized thought leader in restaurant and retail digitization. He has been named a Power Player by Nation’s Restaurant News and Business Insider, is the co-author of two best-selling books including Delivering the Digital Restaurant, and co-hosts the long-running industry podcast The Digital Restaurant.
He has previously served as a board member at Alfa Co., advising on digital off-premise strategy and expansion in Saudi Arabia, and currently advises several emerging technology ventures, including Everybite and Pickpad.
