When Valentine’s Day rolls around each year, romance fills the air and customers flood restaurants.

While much of that business goes to upscale eateries, several national, more affordable restaurant brands are looking to draw their fair share of lovebirds on Feb. 14 this year with creative promotions designed to warm hearts and fill stomachs.

McDonald’s unveils McNugget Caviar kits

Fancy, yet familiar — that phrase describes McDonald’s online-only, limited-edition McNugget Caviar kits. The new feature is completely free for quests, exclusively available through McNuggetCaviar.com on Feb. 10.

The LTO is a product of McDonald’s partnering with Paramount Caviar. Each kit consists of a one-ounce tin of premium Baerii Sturgeon caviar, a $25 Arch Card for McNuggets, crème fraîche and a Mother-of-Pearl caviar spoon. According to a Feb.2  press release, the kits drop at 11 a.m. next Tuesday, Feb. 10, and supplies are limited.

Denny’s serves free weddings on Fremont Street

Each Valentine’s Day, Denny’s offers a complimentary wedding option for couples who love the brand and each other.

According to information about the LTO on Denny’s website, a special blue-suede-shoes officiant will help couples tie the knot for free Feb. 14, between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., at Denny’s on Fremont Street in Las Vegas.

Couples looking to take advantage of the Valentine’s Day special must complete a reservation form on Denny’s Website. The free package includes a Vegas rock n’ roll-style officiant, a keepsake certificate, wedding sashes, and a silk presentation bouquet and boutonniere.

35 years of the Love Castle

White Castle’s Valentine’s Day tradition of transforming restaurants into “Love Castles” turns 35 this year.

White Castle’s Love Castle tradition turns 35 this Valentine’s Day.

Since 1991, the brand has treated its guests to a Valentine’s Day tradition for one evening only, where guests are seated by hosts, served at their tables and surrounded by holiday-appropriate decorations. According to a Feb. 2 press release,  the Love Castle experience is available at more than 300 participating locations.

Reservations are suggested and available through Opentable.com for dining times between 4-9 p.m., Feb. 14. Multiple locations were already booked for the night as of Feb. 2.

“Valentine’s Day at White Castle is about more than dinner out at a restaurant. It’s about creating moments people remember and talk about for years,” Jamie Richardson, chief marketing officer at White Castle, said in a press release. “For 35 years, our team members have poured their hearts into making this night special, and that care and attention is what keeps guests coming back year after year.”
