PAR Technology Corporation, a New York-based foodservice technology provider, announced Monday that its platform was selected to help guide a “foundational shift” in the operations of the world’s third-largest pizza delivery company.
According to a Jan. 12 press release, PAR’s point of sale and restaurant operations management software will anchor Papa John’s next-generation in-house tech stack, with a complete system rollout anticipated across all (approximately 3,200) U.S. corporate and franchise locations by the end of 2027.
Through the system transition, PAR POS and PAR OPS will consolidate front-of-house ordering, make-line operations, above-restaurant management, AI-powered labor, inventory and restaurant management together on one platform designed around scale, reliability and flexibility.
“At Papa Johns, one of our strategic priorities is investing in and optimizing our technology to deliver a better experience,” Kevin Vasconi, Papa Johns’s chief digital and technology officer, said in a press release. “A key element of that strategy is reducing complexity, driving efficiency, and accelerating innovation to improve our in-restaurant operations. PAR Technology’s integrated solutions give us the scale, performance, and support infrastructure needed to run our business better and help our restaurant teams deliver every day.”
The tech initiative continues a years-long effort from Papa Johns to build a faster, more intelligent and connected restaurant and digital ordering experience. According to PAR’s website, the technology provider has worked with several national restaurant brands, including MOD Pizza, Zaxby’s and Arby’s.
PAR’s system is powered by an intelligent artificial intelligence layer embedded across the platform. The platform offers centralized control for quicker, less manual deployment of promotions and submenu support.
“Utilizing PAR’s front- and back-of-house solutions gives Papa Johns real-time insight, operational control, and the foundation required for intelligent automation,” Savneet Singh, CEO of PAR Technology, said in a press release. “Our mission is to simplify operations at scale and empower restaurants to create exceptional guest experiences. We’re ready to support Papa Johns as they scale for the future with PAR.”
