Heads up next time you order a meal from Uber Eats, as the delivery provider announced that Robot Reindeer will be delivering meals in a handful of locations across the country between now and the end of December.

Dressed up with bright red noses and what appear to be soft stuffed antlers, the automated robots will be delivering meals to customers in Miami, Fairfax, Virginia, and Los Angeles.

The holiday themed promotion is through partnerships with delivery robot providers Cartken and Serve Robotics.

Back in May, we reported on plans by Uber Eats to scale up its autonomous delivery plans with Serve Robotics up to approximately 2,000 AI-powered sidewalk delivery robots in cities across the country.

Last December, Uber and Cartken brought sidewalk robots to Miami. Then, this April, the two companies expanded sidewalk delivery operations in Fairfax, Virginia, outside of Washington, D.C.

“This December, we’re spreading some holiday cheer by dressing up delivery robots as reindeer,” said Noah Zych, global head of autonomous mobility & delivery at Uber. “If you’re in Los Angeles, Miami or Fairfax, we’ll be making spirits bright with Cartken and Serve robot reindeer, who will be delivering food all month long.”
