Grubhub, has expanded its partnership with Olo, a top restaurant technology provider, to integrate with Olo Dispatch.
This allows restaurants to outsource delivery for orders placed through their own websites and apps by using a network of third-party delivery providers, including Grubhub.
Olo Dispatch automatically selects the best delivery service providers, including in-house couriers, based on factors like price, timing, and availability. This helps restaurants deliver orders more quickly and cost-effectively.
This collab builds on Grubhub and Olo’s existing partnership, where Grubhub orders are sent directly to a restaurant’s point-of-sale system via Olo Rails.
Benefits for restaurants
The integration gives restaurants more flexibility in managing their delivery services. Restaurants can maintain strong relationships with customers through direct ordering channels, without relying solely on third-party platforms.
“As demand for digital ordering and delivery grows, we’re proud to offer more opportunities for our merchant partners and Grubhub’s delivery drivers,” said Kyle Emmett, senior director of retail media and merchant solutions at Grubhub. “With our nationwide delivery network, we help merchants streamline their delivery operations and better meet customer demands.”
Kacie Gonzalez, Vice President of Product Partnerships at Olo, added, “Adding Grubhub to our Dispatch network gives restaurant brands more delivery options, which helps them offer more reliable, flexible, and cost-effective delivery services.”
