Culver’s fanatics are now able to receive benefits for their allegiance to the fast-casual restaurant chain, as the Wisconsin-based brand launched its first rewards program in mid-November.

The “Delicious Rewards” program, according to a Nov. 17 press release, was specifically designed around Culver’s customers. Once enrolled, guests receive points for each dollar spent, which can be redeemed for free or discounted menu items, as well as unique offers inspired by their past purchases.

The new initiative seeks to capitalize on the popularity of loyalty programs, which the National Restaurant Association reported is at an all-time high, with 78 percent of customers reporting they are more likely to visit a restaurant where they can earn rewards. More than two-thirds of restaurants offer a loyalty program, meaning Culver’s is tapping into an already proven trend for the industry.

“I know, I know – we’re a tad late to the game on this one!” Julie Fussner, Culver’s CEO, said in a statement. “But we built our program from the ground up so we could be sure it rewarded guests with the things they truly crave. Now that it’s finally here, we’re confident our guests are going to love it.”

The rewards program is available to guests through the Culver’s app or website, and guests earn points by signing in before ordering online, scanning their membership code at the restaurant or providing their associated phone number at checkout.

Each dollar spent at participating restaurants correlates with 10 points earned. Culver’s boasts more than 1,000 locations spanning 26 states.

On the app, fountain drinks of all sizes and medium fries require 500 points; two-scoop ice cream dishes or cones cost 750 points; and double Butterburgers and four-piece chicken tenders are priced at 1,000 points, among other rewards. According to Culver’s website, points expire one year from the date they are earned.

Loyalty program members receive special deals on their birthdays and half-birthdays, in addition to other surprise offers. Culver’s indicated that more features and benefits will roll out in the coming year, including the ability to share input on menu development.
