DoorDash and Wing are expanding their drone delivery partnership into metro Atlanta, marking the latest step in the companies’ push to scale autonomous restaurant delivery.
Eligible DoorDash users near Tanger Outlets Locust Grove can order from select local and national restaurants and choose drone delivery, with the goal for orders to arrive within 20 minutes.
The first participating brands include Molinos Mexican Grill, Koji Japanese Steakhouse and Sabrosos Mexican Restaurant.
The Atlanta launch builds on the companies’ existing partnership, which began in 2022. Since then, DoorDash and Wing have expanded drone delivery into parts of southwest Virginia, the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and the Charlotte region, completing tens of thousands of deliveries.
“Autonomous delivery is an important part of how we’re making local commerce faster, more delightful, and more sustainable,” said Harrison Shih, head of the DoorDash Drone Program in a statement. “By bringing our Wing partnership to a new city, we’re helping local merchants reach more consumers while improving speed and reliability.”

Eligible users will see a drone icon in the DoorDash app. If items meet size and weight requirements, customers can select drone delivery at checkout and track the order in real time.
Wing Chief Business Officer Heather Rivera said the expansion gives metro Atlanta residents another fast option for restaurant delivery.
“Wing completes thousands of drone deliveries daily across major U.S. metros, and growing our DoorDash partnership helps us deliver that speed to even more local doorsteps.”
DoorDash said the expansion is part of its broader push to build a multi-modal fulfillment network across Dashers, drones and other autonomous delivery solutions, including its on-the-road robot DoorDash DOT.
