Anand is the founder and managing partner of Gala Capital Partners, LLC, a diversified investment and holding company with interests in chain restaurants, software and technology, real estate development, franchising, community banking and public equities investment. He has spent the past 40+ years in various executive capacities within the software, real estate, franchise and restaurant industries.
Restaurant investments have included the development and management of nationally recognized chain restaurants, both franchised and proprietary, throughout the western United States. Current and prior portfolio brands include Fresh Griller, Del Taco, Jack in the Box and Famous Dave’s BBQ.
Since 2015, Anand has been founder and managing partner of Gala Capital Partners, LLC, an investment firm focused on investments in lower middle market franchisors within food and non-food, as well as software industries. Current portfolio companies include: MOOYAH Burger, Proper Food, Cici’s Pizza, Dunn Brothers Coffee, Rusty Taco, Dillas Primo Quesadillas, Plate IQ Software, Cut & Dry, Targetable, Lunchbox, Ecotrak, Incentivio Software, Stream Software, and Perfect Co Software.
Since 2024, Anand has served as chairman of Monterey County Bank, located in Monterey, CA.
Anand graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and has been a member of the USC Marshall School of Business Forum on Family Businesses. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE), University of California-Irvine CEO Roundtable, and a member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO), serving as past Chairman of the YPO Food & Beverage Industry Network and YPO Franchise Industry Network.
