Delivery.com has introduced a new hybrid delivery model for its clients by collaborating with Cartwheel.

The delivery platform serves over three million customers who order from more than 12,000 businesses across 2,000 cities in the U.S., including Chicago, Boston, and Los Angeles. It provides an app that connects consumers with local restaurants, grocers, and other businesses while also facilitating delivery fulfillment.

By integrating Cartwheel’s hybrid technology, the platform can now manage its own fleet of drivers while also tapping into major national fleets like Uber Direct during peak times or overflow. This means smoother operations and quicker deliveries for everyone involved.

Cartwheel provides real-time order tracking, and in-app chats between dispatchers and drivers.

Laurence Levine, the Executive Head of Delivery.com, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, saying, “Cartwheel’s integration with the restaurant tech ecosystem aligns perfectly with our goals,” adding it will enhance its delivery capabilities and strengthen their market position.

Delivery.com also gains access to a wider network of local delivery service providers, especially in areas where their drivers might be stretched too thin.

A standout feature includes improved real-time tracking. Through this partnership customers can expect tracking capabilities, allowing them to monitor their orders every step of the way along with in-app chats between dispatchers and drivers.

Cartwheel CEO, Alex Vasilkin, said “Our technology-driven solutions will enable faster, more efficient, and seamless delivery experiences to their customers. Together, we are setting a new standard in the delivery industry.”

Cartwheel has already made a name for itself by powering deliveries for well-known brands like Portillo’s, P.F. Chang’s, and Potbelly, among others.
