Lyft and &pizza, the tech-savvy fast-casual East Coat pizza brand, announced a new partnership to bring &pizza employees in Washington, D.C. a reliable late-night transit option. This isn’t exactly news in the off-premises world, but is another step forward in ride-hailing brands teaming up with restaurants for the benefit of their employees or getting new customers in the door.
The new “Lyft for Late Nights” program is the first dedicated flat-fare rideshare program for late-night workers in the nation’s capital, will provide &pizza employees who travel between 11 PM and 5:30 AM with $4.50 rides for a three-month pilot period. Eligible &pizza employees at participating locations can redeem the discounted rides on Friday and Saturday nights between the hours of 11 PM and 5:30 AM for the duration of the program.
The pilot unites two innovative companies that share a common belief in doing things differently when it comes to supporting their communities, and underscores &pizza being known as a progressive employer.
“Since day one, it has always been important to me that we show and not just tell our team members, who we call our tribe, that we care about them,” said Andy Hooper, &pizza president and chief operating officer.
