It used to be that you just threw some lettuce and veggies in a bowl with some dressing and you had a salad. But these days salads are infinitely more intricate. And delicious. If you know how to assemble.

Just Salad, the fast-casual restaurant chain, has unveiled an AI tool for those who gets thousand-yard stares thinking about thousand-island dressing yet want to enjoy healthy eating.

Salad AI uses personalized survey results to provide mobile app users with tailored ordering recommendations to match their culinary preferences. Hello recipe analysis, goodbye decision paralysis.

The tool analyzes insights collected from a brief survey on the Just Salad app, covering areas like lifestyle preferences (e.g., vegan, climatarian, and dietary restrictions), nutritional goals (ranging from high-protein to low-carb and low-sugar choices), and taste preferences (from sweet to spicy, and savory to crunchy).

Salad AI generates four personalized order recommendations, all of which are custom-built recipes that cater to a guest’s health objectives. Each option features a unique salad name, selected flavors, ingredient listing with nutritional information, and a dressing suggestion.

“This technology goes beyond traditional menu recommendations by creating a truly personalized dining journey that speaks directly to our customers’ unique tastes, dietary habits, and nutritional goals,” said Nick Kenner, founder and CEO at Just Salad in a statement. “It simplifies decision-making while supporting healthier eating habits.”

This is just another step in the brand’s mission to make life easier and healthier for consumers.

Salad AI is now available through the Just Salad mobile app.
