In an effort to reduce the amount of time operators spend managing their restaurant’s tech stack, DoorDash has launched Self-Serve Integration Onboarding. The feature enables restaurant partners to join the DoorDash marketplace in days, rather than what could take weeks, directly from point-of-sale (POS) partner platforms ItsaCheckmate and Deliverect. 

“Between juggling on-premise dining and off-premise operations, restaurateurs are strapped for time and often don’t have additional resources to devote to troubleshooting onboarding,” said Ruth Isenstadt, head of U.S. restaurants at DoorDash. “Partnering with ItsaCheckmate and Deliverect to enable thousands of restaurants to start connecting with customers on DoorDash quickly is one way we’re innovating to set an even stronger foundation for early days on our platform.”

ItsaCheckmate and Deliverect platforms both integrate all digital orders into the POS, while centralizing menu management. Once restaurants are onboarded to the DoorDash marketplace, operators can manage their digital orders, edit or update online menus and easily run promotions across the board. 

“Onboarding to DoorDash via Deliverect was a quick and seamless process, which allowed me to start accepting online orders within minutes,” said Diego Rivero, director of operations at Qargo Coffee. “As an operator, I’m eager to spend time investing in providing the best hospitality possible for guests, opposed to spending time in lengthy sales cycles.”

ItsaCheckmate says the feature will also allow restaurants to control when a location should go live on any of the day week, including weekends—previously this was limited to twice a week. 

DoorDash claims the self-serve feature can reduce the onboarding time for restaurants looking to join DoorDash by up to 86 percent, adding that roughly four in five restaurants are able to join without needing direct interaction from an onboarding representative.
