The on-demand delivery platform ASAP.com announced a nationwide food delivery agreement with Chipotle.
Jonathon Relkin, director of digital off-premise at Chipotle, said the partnership provides Chipotle customers expanded access in 1,000+ cities in the U.S.
“We believe in meeting guests where they are, and by partnering with ASAP.com, Chipotle will be able to provide more options for our guests to enjoy our crave-able, healthy burritos, bowls, tacos, salads and more delivered directly to their door,” said Relkin.
The announcement comes on the heels of Chipotle’s opening of its 500th restaurant with a Chipotlane for digital drive-thru orders.
“Chipotle is one of the most well-known and popular brands in the restaurant industry and like us, they are committed to making food more accessible to everyone,” Carl Grimstad, CEO of ASAP said in a statement.
ASAP.com did not respond to an interview request but stated in a press release, “The new agreement with Chipotle immediately boosts our appeal to a wider audience as we grow our newly branded ASAP.com delivery platform.”
Previously known as Waitr, ASAP’s partnership with Chipotle is a significant move for the delivery marketplace, as it evolves from a regional company to a national one under its recent rebrand.
Earlier this year ASAP signed several agreements to launch delivery for various types of items, including sporting goods, luxury apparel, vehicle parts and home appliances.
The company also secured in-stadium ordering technology rights with multiple NFL teams including the New York Giants, Jets and New Orleans Saints.
