Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has partnered with the third-party delivery company to bring food and convenience items straight to hotel guests. Orders can be placed through the Grubhub app or by scanning a QR code on hotel signage.

Guests and team members can unlock a free six-month Grubhub+ membership and get $0 delivery fees, lower service fees, and 5 percent credit back on pickup orders.

“Travel should be enjoyable, not stressful,” said Charmaine Taylor, SVP of strategic and financial partnerships at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
“Whether it’s a late-night craving, forgotten essentials, or a last-minute need like a phone charger, anyone at one of our hotels can now get what they need, when they need.”

This is Grubhub’s biggest hotel partnership yet, rolling out to nearly 6,000 properties. That’s more than previous deals with Homewood Suites, which included over 500 locations, and Hilton. It also builds on earlier partnerships with Extended Stay America, My Place Hotels, and Sonesta, all tapping into the rise in delivery since the pandemic.

The news comes after Wyndham’s recent collaboration with Applebee’s, which gives rewards members loyalty points and free delivery on mobile orders.

Wyndham’s portfolio spans 20 brands like Days Inn, Super 8, and La Quinta.

“Together, we’re elevating the on-property experience, delivering seamless convenience for not only the hundreds of thousands of guests that walk through their doors every year, but also the tens of thousands of hotel team members who make those hotel stays possible,” said Rob DelaCruz, VP and GM of campus and hospitality at Grubhub.

The move reflects Grubhub’s growing focus on niche delivery verticals like hotels and robotic delivery on college campuses, as it competes with giants DoorDash and Uber Eats.
